Mills Bee Lane III was an American boxing referee {{and professional}} boxer, a two-term Washoe County, Nevada, District Court Judge, and a television persona who lived from November 12, 1937, to December 6, 2022.

Lane, well-known for his prefight catchphrase “Let’s get it on,” suffered a stroke in March 2002 that left him partially paralyzed and unable to speak. During his final days, he was surrounded by his partner, Kay, and sons, Terry and Tommy.

Much of that time was spent watching films of the roughly 50 fights Mills Lane reffed inside the Eighties and Nineties, along with Marvin Hagler’s 1979 draw with Vito Antuofermo for the middleweight title.

Lane, recognized for his no-nonsense angle as a result of the third man inside the ring, began boxing after changing into a member of the Marines in 1956 and was defeated inside the United States Olympic trials in San Francisco in 1960.
